Over this weekend, ceramic artists and studios nationwide will open their doors for the annual Australian Ceramics Open Studios (ACOS) event. Potters, ceramic artists and sculptors share their love of clay through demonstrations, conversation and work for sale.There will be workshops, demonstrations, kiln firings and original ceramics to purchase, from studios in the suburbs, cities and rambling rural settings (check individual listings). Take some time to connect with like-minded people who value the handmade and the well-being it brings.
I’m one of the participating artists here on the Northern Beaches and will be opening my working studio in Avalon Beach. Come and see new ceramic work and experiments, explore the materials and processes behind my practice, and take part in an interactive activity where visitors can contribute to a collaborative clay piece.
