About this Event
Medications are often a part of a person’s mental health recovery journey that can be overwhelming to think about. Come to this group to help demystify the medications that you take or are considering taking. Ask all your burning questions. During this one hour session facilitated by a CAMH pharmacist, we will explore different medications, including but not limited to, those that help treat depression, anxiety, psychosis and mania. We will discuss how these medications might help you in your journey and how to manage the side effects and/or stigma that may come along with them.
Our facilitator: Noreen is a pharmacist who has worked at CAMH for over 10 years, in the outpatient, inpatient and emergency department settings. She loves working with people to help them understand their mental health concerns and figure out how medications play a role in their recovery. When Noreen is not being a pharmacist, she loves cycling, gardening and reading, usually in the company of her cat.
Free and open to everyone. Hosted in collaboration with the CAMH Ph*rm*cy.
