About this Event
In October 2026 the historic gantry crane at Hunters Point Shipyard, the towering landmark of San Francisco's southeastern waterfront, comes to life in CRANE, a large scale work of public art combining illumination, original music and live performance. It is a celebration of community history: the story of the Shipyard and of Bayview Hunters Point, and of the people who built it, worked it and lived it, told in light and sound on the crane itself.
CRANE is the last event in the San Francisco Arts Commission's Shaping Legacy series, recognizing monuments that pay tribute to underrecognized people.

Area 1, $65. Seating with the live feed from the crane projected large on the building wall. On Friday the choir is on the livestream, not live in Area 1 (the choir sings live here on Saturday only).
Area 2, $50. A seat with a full view of the crane and the shipyard.
General admission, $25. Standing room looking straight out at the crane.
