Join us on Wednesday 14th October, 7-9pm for an evening with local artist and poet S. Reeson, who will be launching a new poetry pamphet, Forest Management.
S. Reeson's powerful poetry is set amongst the trees, exploring themes of trauma and healing, fear and revelation, navigating tensions between control and wilderness against the backdrop of our own personal and emotional landscapes.
Expect an evening of sharings, readings and signings with special guests amongst the welcoming environment of Metal’s home in Southend, Chalkwell Hall.
About artist and poet S. Reeson
S. Reeson is a published poet, exhibited photographer and passionate mental health advocate. For the last decade they’ve combined these three skills in increasingly satisfying and occasionally unexpected ways on a page, in person and across the Internet. S's practice explores themes of mental health, anxiety, personal identity, social injustice, and environmentalism through a multi-disciplinary artistic lens.
In June 2026, S completed a Writers in Residency with Metal Southend as part of Essex Writers House and facilitated workshops with Southbank Centre's A Poet in Every Port Mobile Poetry Library Porject and has recently exhibited in Leigh Art Trail.
Forest Management is S's second published pamphlet following their debut poetry chapbook: Flammable Solid.
