What to Expect Over 4 Weeks
A hands-on, 4-part exploration of specialty mediums—taking you from functional sculpting to immersive painting and traditional fiber arts:
- Session 1 (Sept 17): Functional Polymer Clay Accessories — Craft a custom, fitted polymer clay sleeve for either a standard lighter or a lipstick/lip gloss tube using slab-building and texturing techniques.
- Session 2 (Sept 24): Blacklight & Glow-in-the-Dark Painting — Work with fluorescent pigments under UV lighting to paint a dual-state canvas that transforms when the lights go down.
- Session 3 (Oct 1): Kinusaiga Japanese Fabric Inlay — Master the meditative, "no-sew patchwork" technique, tucking rich fabric scraps into scored base boards to build a textured, stained-glass-style artwork.
- Session 4 (Oct 8): Polymer Clay Mushroom Stash Jars — Transform a glass jar into a 3D woodland container by sculpting, texturing, and shading polymer clay pumpkins.
