Arthur Ashe Legacy Tennis Clinic: Performance

NOTE: This is a FREE clinic but ALL participants must register to attend.

Join us in Mountain View for our final free outreach event in the 2026 Arthur Ashe Legacy Series. This Performance Clinic is designed for experienced players (ages 9-15) who are established USTA tournament players. Players must have a UTR rating to attend. Work on specific goals and learn about collegiate tennis with our professional staff at MV Tennis!

Ashe Legacy is returning for its fifth year at Cuesta Park! These events are held in honor of Grand Slam champion and civil rights icon Arthur Ashe to grow youth participation in the game that he loved.
Arthur Ashe changed the world and tennis by championing those in need and fighting against social injustice. Ashe filled a tennis career with countless accomplishments. As the first black man to win singles titles at several Grand Slams, Arthur Ashe laid the groundwork for making tennis more inclusive. Ashe became the first black man to be ranked No. 1 in the world and be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. One of Arthur’s greatest joys was playing Davis Cup for the United States.
Following his retirement, Ashe founded the National Junior Tennis League, encouraging youth participation across America and growing the sport even more. At Mountain View Tennis, we host this event to honor the efforts he put into growing the sport, and to encourage all to play.

The vision of former title-winning ATP Tour professional Erik van Dillen, these free community events (two clinics and one major festival) are held every fall at Cuesta Tennis Center.
