Art Talks at Brand will feature Paige Greco on Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 PM in the Recital Hall.Paige Greco is a writer, critic, curator, and editor based in Los Angeles. Her work spans poetry, fiction, criticism, publishing, and curatorial practice. Throughout Greco’s writing, desire is a dull sword: shaped by lack, heavy with what it cannot sever. Her fiction, poetry, and art criticism examine intimacy alongside loss, power, violence, and disappearance. Bodies become sites of memory and projection, where absence can exert as much force as presence. She is Associate Director at Shoshana Wayne Gallery and was a co-founder and editor of Material Editions. She received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Art Talks at Brand invites contemporary artists to discuss their work and the issues surrounding it, followed by a moderated Q&A with Brand staff member, artist, and writer Jennifer Remenchik. Artists are selected to reflect the diversity of the art scene of the greater Los Angeles area.
The series is sponsored by the Brand Associates. All programs are free and open to the public. Arrive early to view the current exhibition, ‘Artifacts from an Unborn Empire.’
