Furia Tanguera takes you through a theatrical experience that combines the strength and elegance of Argentine tango with the passion and excitement of folklore traditions. In this multidisciplinary show, the dancers and singers unite under the rhythm of traditional tango and folklore beats. Accompany the artists from nostalgia to euphoria as the all star cast of Argentine artists weaves traditional storytelling through a modern setting. Watch the fury of tango come alive!
Furia Tanguera, follows the format of the traditional Casa de Tango shows seen in Buenos Aires plus the inclusion of a traditional ballet folklórico, all accompanied by the Patagonia Orchestra, led by Latin Grammy winner Matias Piegari.
Furia Tanguera explores the different moods of Buenos Aires, also known as “la ciudad de la furia” (the city of fury). The artists take you on a journey from whimsy through joy, from regret to rage, and finally to hope. Our beautiful dancers bring you into their dance embrace and our virtuosic singers guide you through the current of complex human emotions.
Patagonia Tango Company strives to bring world class Argentine cultural entertainment to US audiences by building relationships with the communities we visit. We strive to break down the wall between artists and the audience by engaging with local community leaders, offering educational experiences and chatting with audience members after our events.
