About this Event

Death of Caesar Fine Arts Gallery hosts J Read's "Art of the REadMIX" production. This show features some of the most prominent, seasoned, and talented artists that have been making waves in the tristate area for at least the past 10 years! J Read is an eclectic artist, author, and musician who plays the violin, sings, and raps. Mikumari is a renown poet and emcee originally from D.C. who has been pioneering unique pieces and performance styles in and around NY/NJ since the early 2000's. Lyle Omolayo is an emcee, visual artist, and animator from Plainfield, NJ who is one half of the world traveled rap duo "Negros Americanos". Last and certainly not least, Maurice Chestnut is an elite poet and tap dancer who has shared stages with some of the greatest dancers and artists of our generation

This event will also feature visual art from Montclair's own, Brezaja Monét, who is a well studied, artist, photographer and videographer who graduated VCU, and went on to work with New Balance, making major contributions in their design department. She is now an independent artist who is expanding her visual art to include ceramics, which can be seen featured at Montclair Mud Clay Studio.
