About this Event
Inspired by the quiet beauty of nature in winter, this festive workshop invites you to slow down and explore the art of botanical and wildlife illustration.
Guided through a range of pen-and-ink techniques, you will develop a series of nature-inspired studies and transform them into elegant Christmas card designs. At the end of the session, your favourite illustration will be framed for you to take home, making a thoughtful keepsake or a beautiful handmade gift for the season.
Suitable for all abilities. No previous experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Our host Emma Taylor
Emma is a self taught artist and illustrator based in the beautiful city of Bath in Somerset.
She has clients all over the world and is well known for her landscape and wildlife art illustrations as well as her mural work. She has also done several high profile commercial art mural commissions, book illustrations and animal portraits. The latest commission being a collaboration with fellow Bath Artist Jason Dorley-Brown for a mural at Bath’s renowned museum ‘No 1 Royal Crescent’.
She’s passionate about making art as accessible as possible to people, and has always been inspired by nature and landscapes. She was brought up in Scotland, went to school in the Lake District, and spent her time in the New Forest and Switzerland, so mountains and dramatic scenery have been very close to her heart. She lives in Bath with her husband, cocker spaniel and grumpy cat.
