Art in Action: Live Art & Music

Join us at Pacific Arts Market for Art in Action, a BC Culture Days celebration featuring live artist demos, meet‑the‑artists, and local music.

Our 2300 Sq. Ft. Gallery at 460 Wallace St. in Nanaimo showcases the work of over 80 Vancouver Island artists and makers, many of whom will be present throughout the day to share their creative process, answer questions, and demonstrate their craft in real time.

FREE EVENT

This interactive, community‑focused event invites visitors to experience art beyond the finished piece — to see how it’s made, connect with the artists behind the work, and explore the vibrant creative culture growing here in Nanaimo. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious beginner, or simply looking for an inspiring afternoon, this is a chance to immerse yourself in local creativity and support the artists who make our city unique.

Enjoy live music, hands‑on demonstrations, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the spirit of BC Culture Days: accessible, inclusive, and rooted in community.
