In this three-part class, learn about a variety of printmaking techniques and design and print your own creations through the intaglio process. Draw inspiration from prints in the exhibition The Imaginative Worlds of M.C. Escher to create a small edition of your own, and leave with a foundational understanding of the art of traditional image reproduction. Taught by Robert Simoneau, who holds a BFA in printmaking at Winthrop University and currently creates art in Columbia, SC. Ages 15 and up. All supplies and equipment provided. Prior experience in other printmaking disciplines useful but not necessary. Capacity limited to 10 participants to allow for physical distancing in the CMA studios; face coverings are required.
Priority registration for members only through Friday, March 12. $100 / $80 for members.
