In this hands-on workshop, participants transform colorful fabric scraps into a one-of-a-kind quilted piece while exploring the beauty of hand stitching, repetition, and improvisation. No prior quilting experience is necessary; just bring creativity and curiosity. Ages 15 and up. All supplies and equipment provided. Taught by educator Sylvia Mercado.
$60 / $48 for members.
Sylvia Mercado was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Although her formal training is in science, she often teaches knitting, quilting, and basic sewing. Mercado has taught at artist guilds and local libraries including the Arts & Heritage Center of North Augusta and the Nancy Carson Library.
