About this Event
Art is not a luxury - it’s an everyday joy. In this relaxed and welcoming Tuesday evening session, Cecily invites you to explore art as something deeply human, accessible and relevant to our daily lives. Together, we’ll look at both classic and contemporary artworks, gently demystifying what we see and learning how to truly appreciate art - without jargon, pressure or prior knowledge.
This session is about training our eye for beauty: noticing light, emotion, story and intention. By learning how to look at art more attentively, we also learn how to enjoy life more fully - to communicate better, feel more grounded, and spot moments of quiet joy in the everyday. Whether it’s a museum masterpiece or something you notice on your walk home, art becomes a way of reconnecting with ourselves and the world around us.
Cecily is an artist specialising in watercolour, oil, acrylic and Chinese ink painting. She holds a degree in Art and Business from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and has been teaching watercolour and art appreciation for over a decade. Her teaching style is warm, thoughtful and accessible, making art feel alive, meaningful and personal.
All levels are welcome - no art background required, just curiosity and an open mind. Come as you are, and rediscover art as a source of everyday pleasure, grounding and joy.
