It may be you, your colleague or employee who is distracted at work by a compelling desire to place that bet. Betknowmore UK can help.About this Event
Join us to hear Katy Wilson and Clarke Carlisle from gambling support charity Betknowmore UK, for an informative and interesting session on the effects of gambling harms in the workplace and why they need to be taken seriously.
Katy will explain how you can implement workplace interventions, access support services and why these initiatives should form part of an organisation's health, safety and wellbeing strategy.
Clarke is a former Premier League footballer and has lived experience of gambling addiction. He will share recommendations on the key role that workplaces can play in prevention, awareness raising and signposting.
Physical safety of colleagues and others in the workplace can be impacted when someone is distracted by their phone to place bets, particularly if that someone is driving, operating machinery, carrying out or supervising critical operations.
The wellbeing and support of persons with gambling addictions in the workplace is key to risk reduction.
