Norris Point has a fascinating history connected to the development of the Calcasieu River and the communities that grew along its banks. Before upcoming bridge work can begin, archaeologists have been investigating the area to better understand and document what may be found beneath the surface.
Hear from Sara Hahn, Archaeologist and Historian with Coastal Environments, Inc., and Carey Coxe, Environmental Impact Manager and Archaeologist with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, as they share more about the site, the archaeological process, and what their investigations can tell us about the history of the area.
