Apple Day with the National TrustJoin us for a day of apple activities at the National Trust's orchard near Golden Cap. Help pick and press the apples, taste the different varieties growing in the orchard, take part in the longest peel challenge, and have a go at apple printing.
Meet at
National Trust West Dorset Office Filcombe Farmhouse, Muddyford Lane Morcombelake, Bridport Dorset DT6 6EP (What3Words https://w3w.co/songs.worms.porridge)
Date and Time
Tuesday 27th October - 10.30am to 2.00pm
What to bring
· Warm, waterproof clothing
· Sturdy footwear suitable for uneven ground
· A packed lunch, snacks and drinks
· A clean bottle if you would like to take some apple juice home, should we press more than we can drink on the day
Other information
We will meet at Filcombe Farm and then take a 20-minute walk down the lane to Shedbush Orchard to complete the activities before walking back. It would be great if we could all walk down together. However, if you need to leave before 2.00pm, that is absolutely fine. A member of the team can direct you back to where the cars are parked.
There is one toilet and access to drinking water on site, but no other facilities. We will spend the day at the orchard, so please bring a packed lunch and any drinks or snacks you may need. There are no indoor facilities at the site.
More detailed directions to Filcombe Farm will be shared nearer the time. If you need any more information, photographs of the site, or a more detailed description of what to expect, please contact [email protected].
This event is exclusively for ASCape families. There will also be National Trust volunteers and members of the National Trust ranger team helping to run activities throughout the day.
Please only select tickets for children and young people attending. Adults do not require a ticket.
All children attending the session need to be registered with ASCape: https://ascape.uk.juice.software/registration
We look forward to seeing you there!
