Visit to Baboo Gelato HQ 🍦Join ASCape for a special behind-the-scenes visit to the Baboo Gelato production kitchen in Rampisham, where we’ll find out how their award-winning gelato is made and enjoy some tasting too!
📅 Thursday 29th October 2026
⏰ 10.30am
📍 Baboo Gelato Production Kitchen,
What to expect
The Baboo team will take us on a guided tour of the production facility, showing us the ice cream making process and giving us the chance to see their large storage freezer, which is around -22°C. Going inside the freezer is completely optional.
The production area will be operating during our visit, so we’ll get to see the machinery and experience a real working production environment.
After the tour, we’ll head to the staff room for an ice cream tasting session.
Age guidance
This visit is suitable for young people aged 11 years and over.
Sensory information
The production kitchen can be quite noisy and some machinery produces high-pitched sounds. There may also be strong food-related smells.
Visitors will need to wear protective clothing, including hairnets, shoe covers and white jackets, and hand washing is required before entering the production area.
Booking information
Places are limited and our allocation includes both children and adults. Due to the small group size, we ask families to bring a maximum of one parent/carer per child.
When booking, please make sure you select a ticket for each person attending.
Cost
A suggested donation to ASCape of £3 per person is welcomed but not required.
