Remember when Christmas felt a little simpler?
When the season meant picking out the perfect tree, bundling up against the cold, sharing something warm to drink, and spending time with the people you love?
That's the feeling we're hoping to bring to The Apple Barn this Christmas.
Beginning on Black Friday and continuing for three weekends, we're filling the Barn and greenhouse with local makers, Vermont-grown Christmas trees, fresh evergreens, handmade gifts, good food, and all the little things that make this time of year special.
And because we believe Christmas should be about more than shopping, we're making room for some old-fashioned holiday fun, too.
Here's a little of what you can look forward to:
🎄 A Vermont Christmas Tree Farm
Beautiful, locally grown Christmas trees, fresh wreaths, and greenery to bring a little Vermont Christmas home.
🎁 Local Artisans & Holiday Shopping
A changing collection of talented makers, small businesses, and local producers offering thoughtful gifts, handmade treasures, and Vermont-made goods.
💌 Santa's North Pole Post Office
Children can sit down, write a letter to Santa, seal it in a special envelope, and drop it into our North Pole mailbox. And yes, Santa will be writing back!
🌲 A Little Christmas Tree Farm Just for Kids
An indoor space for our youngest visitors to play, decorate little trees, and enjoy a bit of Christmas magic. We'll also have different hands-on holiday crafts throughout the market.
💚 The Grinch's Lair
Our favorite green Christmas troublemaker is returning! We're creating a special space for the Grinch, with plenty of opportunities for laughter, mischief, and memorable photographs. Watch for our separate Grinch Weekend announcement.
☕ Something Warm & Wonderful
Fresh cider donuts, seasonal bakery favorites, hot apple cider, cocoa, mulled wine, and plenty of delicious reasons to linger a little longer.
And there's more happening throughout the season!
Our holiday wreath-making workshops, will have its own event listing with dates and details.
We know the holidays can get busy. Sometimes so busy that we forget to enjoy them.
Our hope is that you'll come out to the Barn, wander through the market, find something made with care, let the kids enjoy themselves, and spend a little time together.
Maybe you'll leave with a Christmas tree. Maybe you'll find the perfect gift. Or maybe you'll just share a donut and make a memory.
