Join Capella Nova for Antonio Salieri's first mass composition for the Viennese court. As the longest-serving Kapellmeister at the Imperial court in Habsburg-controlled Vienna, Austria, Antonio Salieri is remembered today mostly for his fictional rivalry with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Capella Nova will be joined by musicians from North Central Florida for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear two Salieri works in new performing editions by Jane Hettrick.
The concert will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church of Gainesville, Florida, on April 24, 2007, at 4 pm.
