Anti-Poetry Workshop Location: Cooper Room A
Tue 11/10/2026 6:00-7:00 PM
Poet and artist Renée LaMie leads a collaborative class and writing workshop exploring the possibilities of antipoetry through ekphrasis, the practice of responding to art through writing. Participants will receive individual writing prompts as artwork is revealed and stories unfold, then bring their pieces together to create as many collaborative antipoems as possible. The workshop includes one hour of discussion and guided writing, followed by 30 minutes of collaborative creation. No experience with antipoetry or ekphrastic poetry is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment!
