Anne Serre & Alice Blackhurst: Virtue and Rosalind

Anne Serre, author of the Booker-shortlisted , returns to the bookshop with her new novel (translated by Mark Hutchinson) – a deeply strange exploration of art, literature and relationships between women. Merve Emre has praised the ‘rippling unreality’ of Serre’s prose: ‘reading her’, she writes, ‘is like watching a mirage flicker in and out of focus’. Serre will be in conversation with writer and critic Alice Blackhurst.
