Show Description -
In her new solo comedy storytelling hour, internationally touring, critically acclaimed, Berlin based and independent standup comedian from India, Anshita Koul, answers the absolutely unavoidable question (because she tried avoiding it for five years), not with a quick retort, but by telling a short story, long— hoping the audiences are sighing, laughing and crying, in no particular order.
Anshita has performed the show on a self-produced tour in 24 cities in EU including 3 Fringe Festivals and received raging five star reviews from a diverse, international audience.
Directed by one of India’s most brilliant comedians and Edinburgh Fringe Newcomer Award Winner (2023) Urooj Ashfaq, supported by Anshita’s cheerleaders and patrons all over the world and enabled by their therapist, Anshita invites you to a heart-breaking, mind-bending and booty-shaking true tale of love, loss and polite fiction.

About Anshita Koul
Anshita started her standup career on Indian reality TV show TLC presents Queens of Comedy 2017. She was also the only comedian from the EU to make it to Funny Women Awards 2022 Finals in the UK. She was most recently seen opening for Emmy Award-winning comedian Vir Das on his European comedy tour “Mindfool” in October 2024. Anshita also headlined India's first ever Queer Comedy tour organized by Queer Rated Comedy in Dec 2024.
Anshita is a polyglot comedian with three solo comedy shows under their belt in Hindi and English and a huge body of sketch comedy work in her mother tongue Kashmiri. This software engineer turned hardware comedian has performed comedy all over EU, India and in the backyard of a rich Flemish guy.
When not touring, Anshita is the host and independent producer of multiple comedy shows in Berlin under the collective and also is the creator of Berlin’s most famous Queer comedy night representing all shades of funny from the Global south.
