"The Language of the Heart" with Anjuli Mallipudi
What if conflict isn’t evidence that something has gone wrong,
but an inevitable—and potentially valuable—part of being
human together? Drawing on years of studying and practicing
Nonviolent Communication, Anjuli explores how learning to recognize our feelings, understand the needs and values beneath them, and make clear requests can change not only how we
communicate with others, but how we listen to ourselves.
Through her own journey from avoiding conflict and struggling
to identify her needs to setting boundaries while remaining
connected to the people she loves, Anjuli offers a different way
of understanding disagreement: not as something to win, fear,
or escape, but as an opportunity to become more honest about what matters and more capable of hearing what matters to someone else.

BIO:
Anjuli Mallipudi’s relationship with Nonviolent Communication
began in 1999, when a therapist gave her Marshall Rosenberg’s:
"Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life"
What began as a personal interest grew into years of study and practice, including two 10-day International Intensive Trainings and additional training focused on restorative justice and education. She has since helped bring NVC into school communities and hosted practice groups in her Anchorage studio.
Anjuli is also the owner of Holistic Hands Bodywork & Wellness in Anchorage, where she brings together more than 15 years of experience in bodywork with her training as a Natural Therapeutics Specialist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Wellness Coach. Her approach, which she calls Integrative Bodywork, is highly individualized and grounded in careful listening—to what a client says, what they need, and what they experience in their own body. Across both her communication work and bodywork practice runs a common thread: learning to listen more closely, understand what matters, and relate to ourselves and one another with greater clarity, choice, and compassion.
