Kevin Carter is the Founder and CEO of Coach Carter Consulting, which partners with university programs and entrepreneurial support organizations to help them better support the founders they serve.
During this Fireside Chat, he will discuss his recently published book, "Forget About Your Life Plan", how he came to it, and what Pava Marie LaPere has to do with it.
This event is a collaboration between E-Club and the Center for Entrepreneurship.
About the Presenter
Kevin Carter is an ecosystem builder, serial entrepreneur, and now, apparently author, based in Baltimore, Maryland.
As a 2017 Venture for America Fellow, Kevin arrived in Baltimore to help build the student entrepreneurship ecosystem at Johns Hopkins University. During his time at FastForward U — Johns Hopkins’ official student entrepreneurship hub — he co-developed the university’s first student accelerator program, launched an alumni mentorship network, and managed hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funding for student founders. He was later poached by a very convincing student founder to become Director of Business Development at EcoMap Technologies. Then something happened. You’ll read all about it.Pava Marie LaPere was a 5'2" giant who will forever be the Chief Ecosystem Officer of EcoMap Technologies. She accomplished more in 26 years than most do in a lifetime. Kevin couldn’t figure out how to write an appropriate biography for her, so he wrote this book instead.
As of publication, Kevin is the Founder and CEO of Coach Carter Consulting, which partners with university programs and entrepreneurial support organizations to help them better support the founders they serve. He lives in a quintessential Baltimore rowhome with his Australian Shepherd, Stella.
