About this Event
Dates: October 7, 14, 21, 28 from 11:00am-12:00pm
If your work asks you to stay calm when nothing around you is calm, this series is for you.
Polyvagal PLAY is a trauma-responsive, body-based approach to nervous system regulation, built for the people whose job is to hold steady for someone else: social workers, educators, caregivers, therapists, and anyone in a helping role.
Over four in-person sessions, you'll move through the full arc of the PLAY framework—Pause, Listen, Activate, and Yield—landing on a different piece each week. You'll learn to notice what your body is already telling you before you're consciously aware of it. You'll practice the kind of attunement that makes co-regulation possible instead of just talked about. You'll use your voice, your laughter, and a little bit of playful movement to let your nervous system discharge what it's been carrying (this part gets loud, and that's on purpose). And you'll close with the practices most people skip, the ones that help any of this stick.
Each session is 60 minutes and can be attended on its own, though the four weeks build toward something more complete together. No performance skill required. No perfect nervous system required either. Just a willingness to show up in your body for an hour.
