Step back in time and experience a unique blend of history, music, and theatrical tradition in the historic Press Room at the Omni Parker House, the very hotel where Dickens first gave voice to his beloved tale, A Christmas Carol.
Veteran actor Johnny Kinsman performs an elaborate reading of Dickens’ cherished story featuring the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, his spirited encounters with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come, and the heartwarming transformation that follows.
Vocalist Ann Moss and multi-instrumentalist Justin Ouellet enrich the story with a luminous musical soundscape, interweaving timeless carol tunes with foley sound effects to create an immersive and magical listening experience.
Opening remarks by Parker House historian Susan Wilson illuminate the fascinating connection between Dickens and the Parker House.
