About this Event
Join us for an evening with Olympic gold medalist Victoria Pendleton as we celebrate the release of her latest book, The Fear Opportunity. Tracing the philosophy that has powered her through her greatest challenges and drove her to gold medals, this evening will explore the nature of fear, the power of challenges, and the ways we can transform our fears into the fuel that propels us towards opportunity. Come along for an unforgettable night!
The Fear Opportunity
Do you want to increase your confidence, feel less anxious and get more out of life?
In this clear, practical book, Olympic gold medalist Victoria Pendleton shows how much you stand to gain by doing small things that scare you and re framing your relationship with fear.
This philosophy didn’t just drive her to gold medals; it powered her through huge challenges from training as a jump jockey to attempting to climb Everest. But Victoria – alongside the neuroscientists, researchers and psychologists she interviews – is clear that the lessons she’s learned from her extreme experiences can be easily applied to your everyday life.
Packed with clear takeaways and relatable examples, The Fear Opportunity is a guide to transforming your fears into fuel for discovering what you’re really capable of, what you really care about and for living your richest, most expansive life.
Victoria Pendleton is one of Britain’s most successful Olympians and a nine-times world champion. After she retired from cycling she became a jockey for the thrill of the chase, competed in celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins, set out and failed to climb Everest and traversed a high wire over the London Olympic Stadium with a heart rate below 60 beats per minute. She has previously written only one other book, her 2012 autobiography Between The Lines.
