About this Event
Perimenopause and menopause raise a lot of questions, and the honest answers are often hard to find. This evening brings Dr Samantha English, GP and Women's Health Specialist, to Hexham to talk through what is really happening, what your options are, and what the evidence says.
The format is simple. A talk from Dr English, a live Q&A where you can ask anything, and time over refreshments to chat with the Menopause Medical team. You can also submit a question anonymously when you book, and Dr English will cover the most common ones on the night.
Whether you are just starting to notice changes, already on treatment, or supporting someone who is, you will leave with a clearer picture and the confidence to take the next step. Partners, friends and family are welcome. Please note that everyone attending needs their own ticket.
Getting there: The Beaumont Hotel is on Beaumont Street in the centre of Hexham, a 5–10 minute walk from Hexham bus station and a 15–20 minute walk from Hexham railway station. Parking is available on Beaumont Street and the surrounding streets, or at Wentworth car park, a 5–10 minute walk away.
About Dr Samantha English, GP & Women's Health Specialist
Dr Samantha English is a highly experienced GP with over 30 years in general practice and a longstanding specialist interest in women's health. She has undertaken advanced menopause training with the British Menopause Society and now focuses much of her clinical work on supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. Alongside seeing patients, Sam also teaches other clinicians looking to develop their knowledge and skills in women's health. Passionate about women feeling heard, understood and properly supported, Sam combines extensive clinical experience with an approachable, compassionate and evidence-based approach.
