Experience with us the flagship K Street tradition: An Advent Procession with Lessons & Carols! We begin in darkness and end in light; we process from "the utmost West" to liturgical East; and we join the Parish Choirs in a musical journey through the repertoire of the Advent season. From haunting whispers to thrilling exultations, the coming of The Bridegroom will again be told, as we recall in word and song the advent of our salvation. A festal reception will follow in the atrium!
The combined Choirs of St Paul's Parish will sing the service. The music will include:
Advent Responsory | Richard Marlow
Jesus came, adored by angels | Robert Lehman
O Radiant Dawn | James MacMillan
O Sapientia | Jessica Nelson
Jesus Christ the apple tree | Elizabeth Poston
Bogoróditse Djévo | Arvo Pärt
Angelus ad virginem | Andrew Carter
Lord, Thou has been our refuge | Edward Bairstow
We wait for Thy loving kindness, O God | William McKie
