Following a smash-hit Shuffle set in September we are very happy to be able to bring back to town the fabulous Alto Alto.A fresh musical project emerging from Oxford with a driving, energetic, and dynamic sound, the band pushes in bold and unexpected directions, leaving behind familiar ground to explore new horizons.
Weaving captivating hooks and raw, emotive lyrics into a sonic tapestry, Alto Alto draws inspiration from the experimental edge of artists like PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, and Warpaint. Their alt-rock sound bends song structures, delivering dynamic compositions that shift and evolve, often building toward powerful, triumphant crescendos. Each track balances unpredictability with momentum, designed to transport listeners through constantly shifting energy.
Since forming, the band has gained growing recognition on the UK scene. They’ve brought their vibrant live energy to Truck Festival, appeared at venues such as the Dublin Castle in London and the O2 Academy in Oxford, and had their single Broken Fin featured on BBC Introducing in Oxford.
Support from local legend David Lynch.
Music from 8.30pm. Entry free but do bring cash for the artists tip-jar.
