About this Event
Aloha, Herndon! 🌺🀄
Mind Your Mahjong is making its Aslin Herndon debut!
Join us for our very first Mahjong night at Aslin Beer Co. Herndon on Wednesday, October 14, an evening of American Mahjong, good company, and new connections around the table.
Whether you’ve never touched a mahjong tile or already know your way around the NMJL card, choose the experience that’s right for you:
🌺 Beginner Lessons
Never played American Mahjong? Come learn! This welcoming, hands-on lesson is designed for first-time and newer players. We’ll cover the tiles, Charleston, rules, basic strategy, and guided game play. No experience or equipment needed; everything you need to learn is provided.
🀄 Experienced Open Play
Already know how to play? Grab a seat for a relaxed evening of hosted open play with other mahjong players. Come with your mahj crew or come on your own. We’ll help get tables together. Please bring your current 2026 NMJL card.
🎁 Aloha Raffle
Every registered guest receives an entry for a chance to win a mahjong-inspired prize. Want an extra entry? Come dressed in your Aloha best -- an Aloha shirt, tropical print, flowers, or whatever brings a little island spirit to Herndon. 🌺
Aloha attire not required but definitely encouraged!
🍺 Eat, Drink & Mahj
Food from IZZI and Aslin beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Come help us say Aloha to Herndon and kick off a new gathering place for Mahjong players in the community.
