Formed in Los Angeles in 2008, Allah-Las blend psychedelic rock, garage rock, and dreamy melodies into a distinctive, atmospheric sound that consistently defies easy categorization. Three of the quartet's members first met while working at Amoeba Music, and their shared musical curiosity has since evolved into a celebrated body of work. Calico Review (2016) captured the cinematic atmosphere of their hometown, while LAHS (2019) ventured into more distant musical territories. Their latest release, Sirenas, marks a new chapter as the band's first fully instrumental album. Rooted in improvisation and intuitive creation, the record draws inspiration from the spiritual and cosmic philosophies of visionary artists such as Iasos and Brian Eno. Psychedelic textures, ambient soundscapes, subtle electronics, and influences from 1980s and 1990s alternative pop come together in a free-flowing, meditative sonic journey.
