Our winter workshop was again a sell out success with too many laughs to count, so we're rolling into another series right away, ending this one just before Summer.
You can sign up here or save on the fees by sending an erransfer to [email protected] of just 165 and you're in, or bring 160 cash to save further. Drop in welcome with previous experience. Drop in is 25 so you'll save by coming to all.
Join us for EIGHT SUNDAYS (All Sundays in April and May excluding May 3rd) from 4 PM - 6 PM at the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret (2050 Scotia Street, entrance at Loading Bay) for a journey into the world of divine silliness and comic tragedy. This class will lead you through a journey of play, discovery and character creation and give you foundational concepts and excersizes from the world of clowning, physical comedy and theater creation.
This is a mixed level workshop. Beginners should feel very much at ease in signing up. And all levels will be challenged. If you are a practicing clown or comedian you will know that we always need practice and new perspectives. The exercises will be worked on individually and everyone gets unique attention so you will be challenged or helped at all levels.
Taught by Kat Single-Dain, Artistic Director of the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret, who has created and directed 5 original Musical comedies starring CLOWNS over the past 20 years. Holy crap---She's been around the block, so to speak, and she's NEVER doing that again--- it was way too much exersize. Just kidding, she'll never stop.
This class is actually fun as well as informative.
Cost $160 Cash for the series (Wow that's cheap!), or 25 per class to drop in (drop in only available for players with some previous training.
