About this Event
This October, we are thrilled to bring you a very special live band social with the Amanda Lee Swingtet featuring the amazing Ali Affleck all the way from Scotland! Ali is a veteran performer at swing dance events across the world and we are thrilled to have her in Singapore for the first time as part of her Asia tour (including Australia, Osaka Lindy Fest, Jeju Swing Camp)!
Ali is also a historian and we are excited to have her give a talk on early jazz and blues history. For those who don't know how to dance, we will be having Jazz Inc teach a taster class where we learn some steps to groove to this music! The band will play a variety of tempos and grooves throughout the night and in the spirit of Halloween, they will of course be playing some tunes befitting the occasion... come to find out more! ;)
