Alan Reid, co-founder of Battlefield Band, was a leading voice in the wave of innovative Scottish folk groups of the 1970s. His pioneering keyboard style helped shape the band’s influential sound, while his songwriting—rich in story and rooted in tradition—became central to their music. After forty years and nearly thirty albums, Alan moved on to tour and record with Rob van Sante before continuing as a solo performer across the U.K., Europe, North America, and Australasia.
Christine Kydd, described as “one of Scottish Folk Music’s timeless treasures,” is a multi‑award‑winning singer and MG Alba Scots Singer of the Year nominee. Inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, she first gained recognition for her innovative harmony work and has since toured internationally, supporting major artists and collaborating widely across the folk scene.
Together, Alan and Christine offer a beautifully curated blend of traditional and contemporary songs, warm harmonies, and the joy of two seasoned performers sharing the stage.
