About this Event
About this event
Public contracts are won on paper. Most submissions are correct but not convincing: they score 60–70%, while winning bids reach the low 90s. The difference isn't writing style. It comes down to three things: choosing the right tenders, proving every claim, and seeing your bid the way the evaluation panel will before you submit it.
This half-day workshop takes you through the whole tender lifecycle. Throughout the morning, BidReview is used live on real and recent tenders. Numbers are capped at 12, so there's time for your questions and your tenders.
It's led by Tony Corrigan, founder of BidReview.ai. Tony has 25 years in Irish and UK public procurement across more than 3,500 competitions, has served on evaluation panels, and holds the CF APMP credential.
What we cover
- Tendering in general. How public procurement works: where tenders are advertised in Ireland, the UK and the EU, and how panels mark bids using criteria, weightings, band scales and moderation. We'll also look at what AI has changed for bidders, and the AI tools now available.
- Bid / no-bid. The four questions to answer before you commit, and what to extract from every tender. You'll see how an Opportunity Audit and competitor intelligence give you a defensible go or no-go decision.
- Compiling and scoring proposals. Win strategy, response planning, clarifications and evidence, then drafting answers that score. We'll score a draft on the buyer's own scale, work through the findings, fix what costs marks and re-score it. This includes a live evaluation of a participant's tender.
- Dealing with outcomes. Reading the award letter, using the standstill period, and asking for the debrief you're entitled to. Then turning every result, win or lose, into a better next bid.
