About this Event
What happens when you realise that the technology you've built your business around might become obsolete?
For Belfast-based HUMAIN, a company that has spent years creating facial animation for blockbuster video games including Call of Duty, Halo and Microsoft Flight Simulator, that question became very real.
Advances in AI-driven facial animation challenged the future of traditional facial rigging. Rather than resist the change, HUMAIN made a decision: to help create the future rather than be defined by it.
Join HUMAIN's Greg Maguire and Robert Kosk for an interactive workshop exploring the company's journey from providing production services to developing technology for creating and controlling the next generation of digital humans.
Through behind-the-scenes stories, live facial scanning and technology demonstrations, participants will discover how production challenges have driven research, new methodologies, tools and training data. You will see how these capabilities reinforce one another, creating opportunities far beyond the company's original business.
No specialist technical knowledge is required. Lunch will be provided.
