About this Event
Join us at Motobility Mornington for a practical, discussion-led session exploring how different mobility scooter solutions perform in the real world.
Rather than focusing on specifications or individual products, we’ll work through the kinds of questions that often shape a successful mobility solution — starting with the person, their lifestyle and environment, and then looking at how different scooter categories balance competing priorities. The session is designed to complement the clinical expertise of OTs and Allied Health Professionals with Motobility’s practical, day-to-day product knowledge.
During the session we’ll explore topics including:
- When a scooter may — or may not — be the right powered mobility solution
- Travel, portable, mid-size and heavy-duty scooter categories
- The trade-offs between weight, stability, comfort, manoeuvrability and transportability
- Why lighter, bigger or lithium doesn’t automatically mean better
- Setup, programming and accessories that can change how a scooter performs for the individual
- Vehicle transport and lifting considerations
- Quingo’s five-wheel approach and how it differs from a conventional scooter
- Practical comparisons, demonstrations and hands-on product testing
The session is informal and interactive, so questions, discussion and real-world client examples are encouraged.
1 hour towards your CPD, with a certificate of attendance provided. Stay afterwards for a light lunch, networking and time to explore the showroom.
