About The Speaker:
Dr. Kate Amrine is a New York City-based musician and educator whose work spans classical, jazz, and musical theater performance, as well as teaching and ensemble leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance and Psychology from New York University and a Master’s degree from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. Kate is an Adjunct Instructor at NYU, where she teaches non-music majors trumpet fundamentals and musicality, and she also runs a private teaching studio working with students of all ages and levels. As a freelance performer and contractor, she has played in and assembled ensembles for Broadway, theater productions, and diverse musical projects across New York City. She is passionate about making music accessible and helping others connect more deeply to sound, creativity, and expression.
