Calling all writers who are ready to stop editing themselves, dig beneath the surface, and discover the stories still burning to be told.Led by singer, memoirist, and creative guide Amy Stokes, each session invites you to explore the Emerald Coast Storytellers monthly theme or follow a fresh writing prompt of your own. Consider it a choose-your-own-adventure writing night: come with a story already stirring, or arrive with a blank page and see what finds you.
Through guided prompts, dedicated writing time, and the energy of a supportive creative community, you’ll practice trusting your voice, transforming vulnerability into art, and shaping personal experiences into stories you may even want to share at an upcoming Emerald Coast Storytellers Open Mic Night.
Writers of all ages and experience levels are welcome. No polished draft—or plans to perform—required.

About Amy Stokes
Amy Stokes is a singer, storyteller, memoirist, and creative guide based on the Emerald Coast. Through music, writing circles, story coaching, and intimate live performance, she creates spaces where fierce storytellers can use their voices with courage, compassion, conviction, and connection—while exploring the stories from their past that still have fire in them.
A lifelong performer, writer, and singer, Amy brings an artist’s ear for voice, rhythm, and emotional truth to her work with writers and performers. She is currently writing her memoir, 13 Divas, and developing new offerings through Amy Stokes Creative, rooted in voice, story, beauty, faith, and connection.
Amy holds a degree in Theatre from the University of Georgia and has pursued training in acting, vocal performance, live-performance coaching, and somatic writing in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, and Italy.
