About this Event

Join the AfroCaribbean Movement at the 2026 NYC Dance Parade! 🌍🎉

Get ready to join the best group in this years annual celebration of dance! AfroCaribbean Movement is taking over the 2026 NYC Dance Parade where 10,000+ dancers, 100+ styles, and 120,000+ spectators turn Manhattan into one giant dance floor. Founded in 2006, Dance Parade was created to celebrate freedom of expression through movement and has grown into one of NYC’s most joyful cultural events.

This year, our section is bringing the heat with Dancehall, Afrobeats, & Soca vibes.

💃 What We’ll Be Doing

We’ll be marching and dancing approximately one mile through Manhattan—from 17th Street & 6th Avenue, down Sixth Avenue, across 8th Street/St. Mark’s Place, and ending at Tompkins Square Park. Along the route, we’ll be blasting the sounds of Dancehall, Soca, and Afrobeats while serving nonstop energy, waistlines, footwork, and pure celebration. if you hear bass, see flags waving, and smell confidence in the air… that’s probably us.

📍 What to Expect Before the Parade
  • Meet-up details and arrival time will be sent days before
  • Wear comfortable shoes (you’ll dance more than you planned)
  • Bring your cultural flag, water, sunscreen, and all the energy you own
  • Costumes/colors encouraged
  • Stretch now, thank me later

🔥 During the Parade
  • Live music
  • Dancing in the streets
  • Crowd cheering
  • New friends yelling “AYYYEEE!”
  • A brief featured performance by select dancers during the route/end lineup

🎭 After the Parade

The party continues with DanceFest in Tompkins Square Park from 3 PM–7 PM, featuring multiple stages, performances, free classes, DJs, and social dancing. Some of our dancers will also hit the stage—so stay and support!

🎟️ Who Should Join?

Dancehall Dancers, Soca lovers, Afrobeats steppers, People with confidence, and anyone ready to celebrate culture and community.

All we ask is this: Bring your flag, bring your vibes, and bring a good attitude. We’ll handle the rest.

Let’s show NYC how AfroCaribbean people party. 🇯🇲🇹🇹🇭🇹🇳🇬🇬🇭🇧🇧🇩🇴
