About this Event

NYCxDESIGN invites high school and college students to an exclusive visit to Cornell Tech, featuring two innovative programs shaping the future of design, architecture, and technology.

During this 90-minute experience, attendees will participate in two 45-minute guided tours, each highlighting a different academic program and perspective on design education.

Tour 1: Cornell Tech – Design Tech Program
The Design Tech showcase presents student and faculty work in domains spanning interaction design, game design, and virtual and augmented reality. In this guided tour, visitors get a closer look at individual projects, explore the lab spaces, and learn more about the Design Tech department, from its courses and curriculum to what working at the intersection of design and emerging technology looks like in practice. It will be led by Associate Professor Harald Haraldsson.

Representatives will share insights into academic pathways in architecture, urban design, art, and planning, and how studying in New York City connects students to one of the world’s most dynamic design environments.
