Folktales returns with another chapter of Afro-Latin Fiesta — and this one is for the dancers, the dreamers, the stylish ones and the beautifully unruly.
Kongo Get Down! is a night of exuberant Afro-diasporic celebration, bringing together the infectious rhythms of Congo, Venezuela and beyond for one glorious family reunion on the dancefloor.
Think Congolese rumba, sebene guitar, Afro-jazz, Latin rhythms, Afro-fusion, live electronics and psychedelic sounds — music with roots running deep and feet firmly planted on the dancefloor.
And because every good family reunion needs an excuse to overdo it, we're also celebrating the birthdays of a few dear friends. 🎂🥂

🇨🇩 HEADLINERS — KONGO DIA NTOTILA
Kongo Dia Ntotila bring their own take on Kongo jazz, blending the richness of Congolese rumba and the sun-drenched guitar lines of sebene with jazz and a broad palette of African rhythmic traditions.
Polyrhythmic guitars, grooving bass, soaring brass and beautiful harmonies come together in music that is sophisticated, infectious and unapologetically joyful.
Their live shows have a reputation for bringing a raucously joyful party wherever they go.

🌌 SPECIAL GUEST — LUZMIRA ZERPA
Venezuelan singer-songwriter Luzmira Zerpa brings a rich musical world where Latin American folklore meets Afrobeat, blues, jazz, electronic and psychedelic sounds.
A former member of the acclaimed Family Atlantica, Luzmira has performed everywhere from Glastonbury and WOMAD to the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall. Her latest project explores the meeting point between Venezuelan, Latin and African traditions — with a little electricity running through the wires.
Expect something soulful, earthy and wonderfully unexpected.
🌀 U5 MUSIC COLLECTIVE
London's eclectic U5 return with their immersive blend of Afro-centric rhythms, diasporic storytelling, dub, hip-hop and live electronics.
Ancient and futuristic in equal measure, U5 create soundscapes where rhythm becomes ritual and sound becomes a portal — weaving ancestry, technology and contemporary urban energy into something entirely their own.
Expect the unexpected.

Info: Meet Moussa, one half of the Tottenham-based French/Ivorian duo Mamoussa. Since 2018, the DJ duo have been championing DIY club culture in London, playing the music they love - from afrobeats and afrohouse to disco and beyond, never tied to a single genre.
Since 2022, Moussa is collaborating with NYC-based @MoCADA Museum’s radio, producing the show The Independents, an exploration of African independence that draws on music from the era alongside archival recordings, showing how independence movements shaped music and how music became a space of resistance.
You can also catch them on the community-led radio @lwstd with their show Cherie Coco, where they spin everything from Congolese rumba to bossa nova and zouk.
