This multi-disciplinary troupe specializes in songs, dances, drumming, and story-telling that bring Southern African culture to life. Their dynamic performance will feature high-energy tribal dances, thunderous drum rhythms, and perhaps even an interactive segment to get you clapping and moving along. Uzambezi Arts is celebrated for its vibrant shows and community outreach, having appeared on BBC’s Blue Peter and performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Festival Hall. As the headlining act for the celebration, they will deliver an authentic taste of African heritage from pulsating Zimbabwean and South African dance routines to soulful call-and-response songs that uplift the spirit. This is a rare chance to see a renowned ensemble showcase the rhythm and unity at the heart of African culture right before your eyes.

Mel, a MOBO-backed vocalist from London, will captivate the crowd with her soulful and stylish voice With a repertoire spanning Pop, R&B, Soul, Afrobeat, and Reggae, Mel is a true entertainer who knows how to engage an audience. Her performance backed by 15+ years of experience on stages big and small promises to get everyone singing along and dancing to feel-good vibes.
DJ will be spinning Afrobeat hits throughout the event, infusing the venue with the infectious grooves of artists like Fela Kuti, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, and Wizkid.   1. The Pioneers (The 82' Algeria Spirit): Showcasing North African elegance (Djellabas and Kaftans) symbolizing the era when Africa first shocked the world.
  2. The Indomitable Grace (Cameroon & West Africa): Featuring the bold Toghu of Cameroon and Ghanaian Kente, representing the flair and "sleeveless" rebellion of the early 2000s.
  3. The Host Pride (South Africa 2010): Vibrant Xhosa (UmBhaco) and Zulu attire, celebrating the first time the continent hosted the world.
  4. The Modern Masterpiece (Nigeria 2018 & Beyond): High-fashion interpretations of the "Naija" movement—mixing traditional Gele and Buba with modern global style.

Uzambezi art would be performing. Uzambezi Arts are the UK based top Southern African multie-disciplinary arts ensemble that specialise in Songs, dances, drumming, story-telling, education and outreach work and, other forms of community arts activities in the UK, across the EU and recently in North America.

Some of the members CVs include performances on Blue Peter, the Generation Games, Later with Jools Holland, the Andrew Marr show and a host of other TV and radio programs. Venue appearances include places such as the Royal Festival Hall in London, Liverpool Phil and again the List is endless.
Some of the members have even commissioned to write songs for Her Majesty s Golden Jubilee, the late global icon Nelson Mandela.
