About this Event
The Islington Fixers will help you fix your broken electricals and electronics to save them from waste. The focus of the event will be skill-sharing, where participants with broken items take an active role in their repair.

IF YOU BOOK A SLOT, PLEASE TURN UP OR CANCEL YOUR BOOKING
We book our fixers based on attendance registrations - if people don't come as expected, we run the risk of having fixers with nothing to do, which would be disappointing!
THIS EVENT IS BOTH BOOKED AND DROP IN.
This is because we don't know how long fixes take - it depends on the problem! which means that, even if you have booked a timed slot, there may be a wait.
MAXIMUM TWO ITEMS PER PERSON
We want to give everyone a fair shot at having items fixed.
WHAT THE ISLINGTON FIXERS CAN'T FIX
Please do check as we don't want you to lug these items to the workshop.
- Large battery packs e-bikes, scooters, hoverboards, etc. There's a risk of fire
- Mains pressure washers. We don't have to space where they can be tested (ie: outdoors with a hose pipe, etc)
- Microwaves. They're extremely high voltage with potentially carcinogenic insulation
- Anything that may contain asbestos as an insulated material. It’s rare, but has happened. (Think 1930/40/50’s kettles etc.)
