Sounds from Africa – A Celebration of Music, Culture and Unity
In celebration of Africa Day Fingal 2026, Children 4 World Children (C4WC) International proudly presents “Sounds from Africa”, a vibrant cultural event dedicated to celebrating the diversity and global influence of African music. This year’s celebration highlights the richness of African musical traditions and contemporary sounds, while promoting cultural exchange, community wellbeing, and unity among diverse communities in Ireland.
The event will showcase the cultural, artistic, and social significance of African music, from traditional rhythms to modern genres such as Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afro-fusion. It will also provide a platform for African artists, dancers, and cultural practitioners to share talents, cultural heritage, inspire young people, and strengthen connections between African and Irish communities.
A Celebration of African Culture and Creativity
Organised in collaboration with Irish Aid, the Department of Foreign Affairs, Fingal County Council and other valued partners. This event will bring communities together to experience the energy and creativity of African music and dance. Attendees can expect an exciting programme including:
- Live African Music Performances representing multiple African countries
- Interactive Dance Workshops where participants can learn African dance styles
- Cultural Music and Dance Showcases
- Community Networking and Cultural Exchange Opportunities
- Family-Friendly Entertainment and Community Engagement Activities
