A free reading series in Glasgow, run by SPAM Press returns! We're going for a prose-oriented vibe for this one. A mixture of words and sounds with donations towards the North Gaza Fund. Book your free ticket here!

THE LINE UP:
Ameek Gilhotra is pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde. Her research spans creative and critical practice, exploring hybridity, poetic ‘glitter’, reception of beauty in contemporary advertising and popular culture, and post-internet migrant narratives of hope and humour. Her work has been shortlisted as top-10 for the University of Cambridge’s Jane Martin Poetry Prize, and has been published in the Babel Tower Notice Board, Overground Underground, and Streetcake magazines.
Meagan Jennett is the author of You Know Her (MCDxFSG, 2023). She is a Doctor of Fine Arts and runs a monthly open mic, Not A Salon, at Rufus T. Firefly in Glasgow's city centre.
Elle Nash is the author of Deliver Me (Unnamed Press), Animals Eat Each Other (Dzanc Books), and Nudes (SF/LD Books). Her work appears in Guernica, BOMB, Literary Hub, New York Tyrant, and elsewhere.
Hannah L. Parkinson is a writer and researcher based in Glasgow. She graduated with an MA in English Literature from the University of Glasgow, and is set to graduate from the Glasgow School of Art with an MLitt in Art Writing in Autumn 2026. Her work explores the intersections of memory, space, and narratives of the archive through literary fiction and creative nonfiction, interrogating how place functions as a conduit for individual and collective histories. She is Co-founder of the Glasgow-based literary arts zine Big Red Cat Zine, editor of Anchorite Journal, and has had poetry and creative nonfiction published in various journals, including From Glasgow to Saturn.
Edwin Stevens is a writer and recording artist from Wales. He lives in Glasgow, Scotland.
Marianne Tambini is an older sister, amateur hairdresser, union organiser, former quiz show contestant, and sometimes writer.

Donations: A zine with work by the readers will be available on the night, for a donation towards North Gaza: Food, Water & Other Distributions; a fundraising campaign organised by Translating Falasteen (Palestine) in collaboration with the Sameer Project, launched to support families in Gaza facing severe harships. The aid is being bought from existing products in the market and is NOT being brought through any border.
