Course aimed at Forest School leaders but anyone is welcome to join and explore techniques and all the things you can make with willow!Come and join the Coddiwomplers, Stuart and Emma, for a fun relaxed day of willow weaving. The Coddiwomplers are experienced basket makers, school teachers and Forest School practitioners.
Together we will explore a progression in willow weaving – from wrapping through to simple basket making. We’ll also look at buying, storing and preparing willow for use. You’ll go home with lots of practical ideas and projects you’ll be able to use in your setting as well as a pile of lovely things you’ve made.
Please come suitably prepared for the British weather and wear stout shoes or boots.
Please bring:
- A travel mug (preferably unbreakable)
- A camera if you wish
- A packed lunch
Tea and coffee will be served throughout the day and are included in the price.
