ACT Operational

ACT Operational is a nationally recognised, immersive workshop developed by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and delivered in person by specialist Counter Terrorism Policing experts.

This free, 3 hour session is designed for operational staff, supervisors, and anyone who may be required to identify or respond to suspicious activity in their daily role. Unlike standard briefings, this workshop uses interactive tabletop exercises and real-world scenarios to challenge participants and improve decision-making under pressure.

What the session covers:

• Hostile Reconnaissance: Understanding how attackers think and how to disrupt their planning.
• Vigilance & Security Culture: Practical ways to improve the "security mindset" within your organisation.
• Suspicious Items & Behaviour: Identifying threats and knowing exactly how to report them.
• Incident Response: Guidance on responding to firearms or weapons attacks (Run, Hide, Tell) and bomb threats.
• Confidence in Action: Building the professional confidence to take charge and protect others during an incident.

This highly informative session includes time for questions and discussion, making it particularly valuable for staff and managers at all levels.

Info: This is a secure building with multiple protective security layers in place. There may be a bag screening policy in place on the day, so if you have a bag, please allow a few extra minutes for this process to take place. Additionally, there may also be metal detectors used for peronnel screening. Please bring valid Government ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence. You will not be permitted to attend without your physical; Passport, National ID Card or Driving Licence. Your ID must be in date.
